The Dallas Cowboys have traded for Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks, according to multiple reports.

There is your No. 2 receiver, Cowboys fans. Dallas will send over its 2023 5th round draft pick and its 2024 6th rounder in order to acquire Cooks.

The 29-yard-old wide receiver has made his way around the NFL and produced at every stop. In 2022, Cooks had a bit of a down year, but still posted 57 catches for 699 yards and three touchdowns. It is certainly worth noting that Houston had one of the worst QB situations in the league.

In 2021 Cooks tallied 1,037 receiving yards. He has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in six of his nine years in the NFL, and is a massive upgrade to what the Cowboys had opposite of CeeDee Lamb last year.

Between Cooks and Stephon Gilmore, the Cowboys front office is being bold in addressing the team’s needs.
